Specialists in Human Resource Management

Recertification: One recertification point has been applied for.

Brief Description:

Today our work environment is comprised of an eclectic group of co-workers and executives.  The difference between us sometimes seems great.  One of the greatest challenges is how to relate to and work with those who are either a great deal older or far younger than what we have been used to.  Different age groups have different work standards, different ways of speech, different ways to work, etc., etc…  How do we bridge the gap and work collaboratively?  Trisha will give us some valuable tips on how to communicate and collaborate with all those we work with, no matter what the age or experience level.

About the Speaker:

Trisha Svehla has over 30 years of experience as a hands-on practitioner in all aspects of human resource management.  She holds a Masters in Management (MBA) from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a BA from Ambassador University in Pasadena, CA.  Trisha co-authored Managing The MosaicÔ a book addressing the dramatic changes affecting today's workplace as a result of changing demographics, norms and values.  Trisha recently became certified in the measurement and use of Emotional Intelligence (EQ).  Emotional intelligence is becoming widely used by major corporations to assist in identifying success competencies from hiring to the development of management and leadership skills.  As President of Managing The MosaicÔ, Trisha has worked with a wide range of clients from healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, finance, education, hospitality industry, technology, transportation, government and not for profit associations.
